LEWIS MFG. OUCHLESS PULLING GRIPS
|
|
 |
Ouchless Lewis Grips™
No Wire Cuts or Contusions
Tough Plastic Coated Aramid Fibers |
The Ouchless Lewis Grips™ are made of plastic coated Aramid
fiber strands. These grips are the latest addition to Lewis Mfg. broad
offering of pulling & suspension grips that are very popular and are widely
accepted in the field. Ouchless grips are traditionally used in overhead or
underground operations when pulling or suspending electric or fiber optic
cables.
- Available in Single Eye (SE) and Double Eye (DLE) Models
- Non Conductive
- Lighter yet Stronger than Metal Grips
- Easier to Load & Remove
- No Wire Frays
- No Wire Cuts and Contusions
These grips do not have the metallic fraying as traditional grips do
thereby eliminating the chance of being injured from metallic strands that
have been abraded. Ouchless grips can also be used when a metallic grip is
unsuitable , such as pulling in an energized environment.
The Aramid fiber strand can be used in essentially all grip
configurations. However when used around coastal areas or in corrosive
environments the Stainless Steel option is still superior. Always remember
when using a pulling grip made of Aramid strand or metal wire to tape the
bare end of the cable that will be inserted into the grip. This will
eliminate a sharp edge exposure and prolong the life of your grip. |

- It is important that you read and understand all breaking strength, safety and technical data relating to
pulling grips. Please order carefully.
- Do not exceed published working load on any pulling grips.
- It is essential to inspect all grips before and after each use. If a
grip wire is frayed, broken, rusted, or shows signs of wear, the grip should be removed from service
immediately.
Failure to do so could lead to serious injury or
even death.
