LEWIS MFG. BALL BEARING SWIVELS
|
|
 |
For Tension Stringing of T&D Lines
Regular Duty and Heavy-Duty Series |
| Both "W" Series (Regular Duty) or "HD" Series
(Heavy-Duty) are specifically designed for tension stringing and
assure the conductor will remain in the neutral position during
stringing of transmission and distribution lines. These swivels are
manufactured from high-grade pre-stressed steel. Proper placement of
thrust and radial bearing allow thrust and shock loads to be
absorbed without affecting rotation of swivel. Pins are screwdriver
removable. |

- It is important that you read and understand all breaking strength, safety and technical data relating to
Swivels. Please order carefully.
- Lubricate all greaseable swivels before and after each use.
- Do not exceed published working load on any swivel.
- It is essential to inspect all swivels before and after each use. If a
swivel is loose and/or the bearings feel rough when rotated or are seized
and cannot be rotated, the swivel should be removed from service
immediately.
- Always select a swivel larger than the machine capacity. If a swivel is
exposed to a load exceeding the posted work load it should be removed from
service immediately, and a larger swivel should be used thereafter.
Failure to do so could lead to serious injury or
even death.
